Ever since I started freelancing, my fitness regime has been turned upside down because many of my assignments or jobs happen on weekends or clash with my usual football schedules. I am not a big fan of going to the gym, preferring to play team sports instead. But the problem with team sports like football is that you need a lot of people to just get some exercise.
So I have been on the lookout for some other forms of exercise and after shooting for the promotional collaterals of The Yoga Collective (The Yoga Co. = Yoco for short lah), I have found my current go-to exercise for the moment. It’s this program that Yoco offers called Triple Threat Bootcamp (TTB, yes I love my abbreviations).
Wah piang, it’s no joke man.
It starts out deceptively normal with a yoga session but it kicks it up a notch as the session progresses and finishes with an army-like high intensity interval training torture. You think yoga lepak is it? Come for this one confirm got kick #sumpahbro.
So when I was told that Yoco was going to teach TTB in public, at Raffles City mall, to more than a hundred people, I was super psyched — to shoot it.
It was great to see everyone
suffering enjoying the class and the look of disbelief in their face. I was pretty sure not many of them expected the level of hiongness that the class had. But I am a firm believer of the sense of camaraderie and feel-good feeling that people have after finishing an especially punishing fitness class.
This event actually birthed the idea of having a series called #FacesofTTB! Look out for it on Instagram!
